The Journey of a Story:

The authors speak about their experience crafting a middle grade mystery series.

Our presentation begins with a brief introduction about who we are and why we decided to write a book. This is followed by a chapter reading and a slide show, which includes a talk about co-authoring a book. We cover brainstorming and writing organization, as well as the editing process, using visualization to develop writing craft, tips for becoming a better writer, and what the publishing process is like.

In addition, we've incorporated a trivia game called Fairday's Facts. Each student can follow along with the clues that pop up on screen. The last slides are Fairday's questions, and those students who answer correctly will have a chance to be randomly selected to win a fun mystery prize.

We're happy to take pictures with the students and autograph copies of the book.

If there's something else you'd like us to include in our presentation, we welcome your suggestions.

We aim to inspire creativity in young minds, and help them grow a strong love for reading and writing.

Writing workshops and Skype visits are also available upon request. To book an author event, please contact:
